Veterans Stand Down Event - Saturday, September 16, 2023
We need volunteers for our upcoming Community Service project! We'll be making bag lunches at the Veterans Stand Down event happening at the Alameda County Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 16th. After the indefinite cancellation of East Bay Stand Down, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors is organizing this new Veterans Stand Down, which is a 1-day event to support homeless or at-risk veterans by providing the necessary social and human services to help them improve their lives. Rotary will be providing the bag lunches (150) they will be given on their way out. We need sandwich/bag assemblers from 10am-12pm and bag distributors from 12pm-2pm.
